Ieva and her long term music team are giving private lessons of songwriting, music composition, drums, vocal, guitar, piano, Ableton Live, mixing, music arrangement, ensemble and other. Together with Lithuanian musicians Mykolas Baranauskas - drummer, mixing engineer, DJ and Justinas Žilys – guitar player and improviser, Ieva was working on many projects including music for movies, music for theater, contemporary operas, bands “Such’a’Trip” and “In albedo”. Together they created and recorded soundtracks for literature pieces, played original and improvised music concerts and collaborated in many other projects. In more than ten years of creative work together musicians gave various workshops in Lithuania and abroad of various topics. Ieva thinks that not every talented performer is talented in giving lessons. According to her it’s like another form of art, so she is very precise about the teacher’s personality, professionality, attitude, being aware of contemporary context, flexibility, experience, ability and talent to teach. “When you decide to teach, you commit to be responsible for the next generation and it means you have to be really good not only in music, but in many other fields as well. You have to know how to create safe environment to make mistakes, how to find ways to inspire and engage, so that people would follow you; you have to know how to handle psychological process that the student is going through when learning and so many other things. Teachers personality is what influences learning process the most. It requires experience, charisma, creativity, values and devotion.” – said Ieva.
